Lolita

Lolita by Vladmir Nabokov tells the disturbing story of an older man preying on a young girl. Cleverly shifting the perspective to that of the offender Nabokov presents an interesting story told through the perspective of the abuser. This book, although controversial, is one of my favorites because of the complex story themes and the awareness it brought to a sensitive subject.
